Saturday was the 1st annual J.L. Howard Memorial race and the Trail-Way/Lincoln Shoot out at Lincoln Speedway. This race had the top 12 from the heats doing a redraw for Feature starting position in lieu of lining up by points. Kevin from Matt's crew drew the #1 starting spot. With only one caution on lap 10, Matt was able to maneuver around lap traffic and hold off fast approaching drivers for the win. This finish put's Matt within 5 points of the current points leader, Doug Hammaker for the track championship with only one points race remaining this coming Saturday, September 12th.
