Another year under the hood for Matt and the MCR Team has finished with some good results. Matt had his first full-time year in the 410 division at Williams Grove Speedway. Motor issues sidelined the Team for several races late in the season but Matt still managed to finish with several top 10 finishes. Matt was awarded the Williams Grove 410 Rookie of the Year award. In addition Matt's first year results tied him for the 2016 North American 410 Sprint Car Rookie of the Year award.
Matt also had one 410 race at Lincoln Speedway during the Dirt Classic in September. He set fast time and finished 9th during the 40 lap Feature. This would be the last race of the year for Matt and It was a good way to end the year in the 410 car.
In the 358 division, with 1 win at Lincoln Speedway and 1 win at Williams Grove Speedway, Matt finished his 358 division racing. Another close competition at Lincoln, Matt finished 2nd in points overall in the 358 class.
