MCR Hits Halfway Mark with High Hopes

Matt and the team are looking forward to the 2nd half of this year's racing season and hoping that their luck will turn around. Matt began racing the 410 full-time this year at Lincoln Speedway in addition to returning for his 2nd year at Williams Grove Speedway. In between these weekly shows he made his first 410 run at Port Royal Speedway and Susquehanna Speedway Park. A trip to Eldora Speedway in June was plagued by motor issues and he was unable to complete warm-ups. Another planned trip to Eldora Speedway for the Kings Royal was put on hold this year due to the expenses incurred for most recent repairs and the team decided it was best spent at home.

Motor and car issues have been an on-going theme this year along with numerous rain-outs. There have been 25 races this year so far for the team and 13 rain-outs with missed opportunities. When things go right, Matt has been having some good runs. To date he has finished with 5 top 5's and 7 top 10's. Many of the special races are Time Trial races which Matt did not do in the 358 class. He has done very well with them and is learning a lot about this aspect of racing.

19 races remain on the schedule. Most of these races will be at Lincoln and Williams Grove. Port Royal is scheduled for September for the All Star Circuit of Champions as well as a possible run at Attica Raceway Park and Wayne Speedway in Ohio.
