Matt had a solid 4th place run friday night as Selinsgrove had new competitors from Lanco Speedway venture up to Selinsgrove Raceway Park for friday nights race. With the largest field of cars yet this season Matt started last in heat race #2 and drove a great race to finish 2nd, which gave him a 4th place starting spot for the feature. The track slicked off by feature time and there was not much passing in the feature. The top 5 starting spots would not change through out the race and ended up the same way they started. Matt did gain 10 points in the championship race and is now only 10 markers out of the lead.

Matt got his 1st win of the season friday night. The team had been struggling with the torsion bar & shock package we were running and decided to "scrap" the new setup and go back to a proven combination that served us well all last season. Right out of the trailer we were considerably better than we had been all season. Matt started 5th in the heat race and finished 3rd. Starting 3rd in the feature Matt was able to take the lead on the 1st lap and lead every lap for his 1st win of 2010. Let's hope he can get on a good roll now that the car's setup is back! The team continues to struggle with the setup we have been running this year. We just can't seem to get the shock & torsion bar setup working together. We will strip the car down this week and "start over ". We will be putting back in the shock & bar package that served us well all last season and try to get back on track. Matt was only able to bring the car home in 4th position this week after fighting a loose condition all night. Thanks for checking in on Matt.

Matt is staying in the Championship chase with all the consistant top 3 finishes. Matt was able to get the car to 2nd place from his 5th place starting spot. Once Matt cleared the traffic and got into second place with a clear track in front of him , he was able to hit the same lap times as the race winner.
